Award-Winning Cherokee Artists to Headline RCCA February Meeting in Claremore

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Rogers County Cherokee Association will host its February Monthly Meeting and community fellowship meal on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the RCCA Community Building, 15488 E. 523 Road in Claremore.


The featured guests will be the family behind Cherokee Copper, an award-winning Cherokee-owned jewelry studio celebrating more than a decade of sharing Cherokee culture through contemporary design rooted in tradition.

Artist Greg Stice, founder of Cherokee Copper, creates modern Native American jewelry inspired by Cherokee history and symbolism. Working alongside him are his children, Moriah and Joshua, both award-winning Cherokee artists. Together, the family continues a legacy of craftsmanship and cultural pride.

A community meal will follow the program. Cara Cowan Watts will prepare pork and green chili hominy stew, and Jamie Rowe will serve fresh frybread. Attendees are encouraged to come hungry and ready for fellowship. Guests are also asked to bring a dessert or side dish to share.


RCCA President Cathy Wright will lead the meeting.


Membership in RCCA is open to the public. Annual dues are $10 for individuals and $25 for households. Cherokee Nation citizens age 18 and older are eligible for general membership, and others may join as associate members.
