Cherokee 411 to host Chad Smith book signing

Cherokee 411 will host a book signing with Chad Smith on Friday, April 24 in Pryor and Saturday, April 25 in Collinsville. The reading and discussion will include a question-and-answer session focused on the Cherokee Nation constitutional crisis and broader issues in tribal governance.


Smith will bring copies of his books available for purchase and signing. Cherokee Nation: Proceed Undaunted a detailed legal commentary on the Nation’s constitutional history, and The Language of Life a collection of inspirational stories drawing on Cherokee tradition and themes of loyalty and redemption.

This free event is part of Cherokee 411’s ongoing effort to create space for open discussion, informed readership and community engagement around issues impacting Cherokee citizens and families across northeast Oklahoma. We are the only independent Cherokee media network in the world.


Cherokee 411 officials said the event is intended to provide community members with access to firsthand perspectives on recent Cherokee Nation political developments, while also supporting local small businesses in Cherokee communities.
