The Coming Home Reentry and Justice Involved Programs provide assistance to Cherokee Nation citizens who are currently justice involved or who have been released from incarceration. The programs focus on addressing barriers created by justice involvement and supporting successful reintegration into employment, family life and the community.

In addition to supportive services, additional transitional and supportive housing units are currently under development to expand housing options for eligible Cherokee Nation citizens. Housing assistance is provided based on individual need, eligibility and availability as part of a comprehensive reentry plan.
The programs operate within the Career Services Group of the Cherokee Nation, allowing for direct referral and access to employment, training and workforce development programs.
Services are provided on a case by case basis and may include assistance with identification, counseling, health care, behavioral health services, clothing, hygiene items, housing support, driver’s license reinstatement, vocational training and other reentry related services.
