TULSA, Okla. — A strong cold front moving across Oklahoma is expected to turn light drizzle into freezing drizzle overnight, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions for the Thursday morning commute.

Temperatures will fall steadily this evening, with the coldest air arriving after midnight. As the front pushes through, ongoing drizzle is forecast to transition to freezing drizzle, especially across northern counties and the Tulsa metro.
Highs today vary sharply across the state, ranging from the upper 30s in the north to near 50 degrees south of I-40. Drizzle developing this afternoon should remain liquid for the Wednesday evening commute, but officials warn that roads may become slick by early Thursday.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution and monitor local forecasts for updated advisories.
