Janice Faye Dibble, age 70, was born on April 30, 1955. Although her birth certificate lists Tahlequah, Oklahoma, she was actually born in a cabin in Eldon, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025.
Through her work with Indigenous peoples across the United States, Janie traveled extensively, visiting all fifty states multiple times. Her dedication, leadership, and tireless advocacy left a lasting impact on countless individuals and communities.
Janie was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Hensley; her mother, Alvada Adair; her stepfather, Johnny Adair; her brother, Billy Hensley; and her sister, Wanda McGhee.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Dibble of Broken Arrow; her son, Nicholas Dibble, and his wife, Xuardae; her granddaughter, Starla; and her grandson, Stanton, all of Porter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Sheila Vance of Yukon, B.J. Hensley of Tahlequah, Shelly Coke of Tahlequah, Chad Hensley of Stilwell, and Nathan Hensley of Broken Arrow; her brothers, Tom Hensley and Robert Hensley, both of Stilwell; great-nieces Ryann Howell of Porter and Kylee Beuttel of Sand Springs; great-great-nieces and nephew Emberly, Brenley, and Leon; and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones
