PRYOR CREEK, Okla. — A man sustained non-life-threatening injuries Monday after a stabbing incident at a church in Pryor Creek, authorities said.
Police responded to a disturbance at the Church of Christ in Pryor Creek, where a female suspect allegedly attacked the church’s pastor, according to the Pryor Creek Police Department.

The pastor suffered lacerations to his hands during the encounter. Two church staff members intervened, disarming the suspect and restraining her until officers arrived, police said.
The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Mayes County Jail before being transferred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation due to her status as a tribal citizen, authorities said.
