Spring Break Fun for Kids in Claremore!


Looking for something fun (and educational) for the kids during spring break? The Will Rogers Memorial Museum has a full week of hands-on activities planned March 16–20 from 1–3 p.m. — and all kids under 17 get in FREE thanks to a donation from Win and Kay Ingersoll.


Each day features a different theme inspired by the life of Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers:


March 16 – Heritage DayTraditional dyeing, weaving, lacemaking, quilting, and a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the museum vault, library, and Will Rogers’ tomb.


March 17 – Cowboy DayDress in your Western gear and learn trick roping, rope a steer, enjoy cowboy cooking, and explore life in the Old West.


March 18 – Aviation DayFlight simulator, RC aircraft displays, an Air Evac helicopter landing, and a paper airplane contest. The winner gets a signed children’s book and a gift shop gift card.


March 19 – Route 66 DayPinewood Derby racing with Scouting America, a classic car show, scavenger hunt, and a showing of Disney/Pixar’s “Cars” with free popcorn.


March 20 – Talent ShowKids can perform on stage at the Mid-Afternoon Frolic Talent Show and compete for prizes.
